Victor is a struggling playwright and theater director and his girlfriend Mary is expecting their first child. He has a temporary job in construction to make ends meet, but the dusty, dirty job exhausts him. Across town, Mary is a manager in a tony Madison Avenue boutique. The young couple is about to move out of their bohemian apartment in Brooklyn to the suburbs, all funded by Mary's father. As Dad keeps buying buying them things they could never afford, Victor's sense of entrapment grows. His inner struggle to meet their expectations seems to be guiding him towards a way of life he is unwilling to accept.

Shot in 2004, the Roast of Jim Norton was held at the world-famous Caroline's Comedy Club in New York, NY. It features some of the greatest comics of the New York scene, and is part of comedy history. Produced by Comedy Anatomy's own Masavia Greer, along with Yumi Akiyama, the Roast of Jim Norton was hosted by Rich Vos, and featured comedians Jim Florentine, Vanessa Hollingshead, Nick DiPaolo, Greg Giraldo, Laurie Kilmartin, Colin Quinn, Rev. Bob Levy, Ross Bennett, Ben Bailey, Opie & Anthony, the late Patrice O’Neal and Greg Giraldo (rest in peace), and of course, guest of honor Jim Norton.

Peter is a novelist who is going out of his mind because his wife and daughter have left him. He's bought a Smith & Wesson and put one bullet in it. He's pulled the trigger once in despairing Russian roulette. Driving to his wife's office, he pulls the gun out again when an angry motorist assaults him. Then, he begs his wife to talk to him, and she does - while she holds the pistol. His next stop is the literary agent to whom he's sent his manuscript; the pistol comes out once more. Her response is unexpected, and there's one last stop before the day ends.
